The Secure Badge Holder is a barrier to the radio frequency signals that are necessary to communicate with smart cards. This offers protection against unauthorized access to valuable information . With no need to remove the contactless smart card, th ecard is read when the user opens the holder by squeezing the tabs. Information is protected when the holder is closed.

The Secure Badge Holder meets the requirement of FIPS 201 section 2.4 (PIV Privacy Requirements) and 4.4.2 (Biometric Data Representation and Protection) for an electromagnetically opaque sleeve. Shields ISO 14443/15693 and EPC Gen1/Gen2 contactless smart cards.

Another innovation that eliminates slot punching, the Half Card Holder allows easy swiping of magnetic stripe cards. Since the vinyl pouch covers only half the card, the magnetic stripe is exposed and swipes through card readers without removal from the holder. The snug fit holds a card securely.
