After missing last years MPI BC Schmooze, I was so excited and happy to be able to attend again this year. Not only did I go, but I brought Kane with me as I would like for him to be my partner in crime when it comes to sponsorship and events, plus it’s always nice to be able to put faces to names!
There were sponsors and exhibitors in different rooms, as everything was spread out to alleviate crowding into one area, and be able to explore different areas of what the Shangri La has to offer, as they were the host sponsor for this lovely event!
There’s an app for that.
There was an app – courtesy of Attendify – in which you could earn points – um hello! My competitive side isn’t always my best feature …ha! Attendify had it setup so that for every interaction, post and correctly answered question, you would earn points. Answered something incorrectly and you’d lose points. Now, I know I am competitive, but I only came in 6th! Plus, I was more focused on talking to the attendees – that’s my story and I’m sticking to it!

Putting it all together
We had a wonderful time connecting with attendees and showcasing our conference essentials aka promotional swag, and help rid ourselves of the badges only stigma 🙂 Our goal moving forward, is to be your one stop shop. We want to make it easier for you to handle all aspects of your event, and be someone you can recommend your sponsor to, or have products that would work within a sponsorship, through us – this was the perfect event to launch that. Our West Coast planners are an amazing group, and we love working alongside them!
We loved connecting with other sponsors/exhibitors to see what’s doing within the industry – keeping up on all aspects is important, so we can always pass along information to inquiring minds, and vice-versa. It’s not just about us – the whole industry is important!
